How to film a rugby drill on a phone.

The same setup Rugby AI needs to read your reps. No extra hardware. An iPhone and somewhere to prop it.

01

Whole body in frame.

The player, the ball, and the target (wall, gate, or cone) all have to be visible. If the camera crops the feet or the hands, the score is junk.

02

Stable and side-on enough.

Prop the phone. A bag, a fence, a cheap tripod. Do not walk with the camera. Side-on or 45 degrees is the default; each drill page names the angle.

03

Light you could read by.

Too dark, too far, or blocked: Rugby AI names the reason and asks for a retake. A rejected clip never costs a check.

04

One player, one drill.

Film the person doing the work. A crowded frame gets an honest "we cannot tell who to score."

Film this with Rugby AI.

Set up once, then film any drill in the library. Passing gets a score out of 100; kicking, catching and running get counted.

Free to start. Five checks every week. No account needed.
