High take

This drill is claiming the high ball at full stretch with a stable landing.

What good looks like

  • Feet adjust under the flight
  • Take at the top of the reach
  • Ball secured to the chest on landing

The drill

  1. Toss the ball high and slightly in front of you, two to three meters above your head.
  2. Move your feet under the flight, eyes on the ball the whole way.
  3. Reach up and take the ball at the highest point you can, fingers spread.
  4. Bring the ball into your chest with both hands as you land, feet under you.

Space

10m x 10m open flat area, one ball.

Make it harder / make it easier

Harder. Toss further in front so you chase onto the flight, or add a jump to the take.

Easier. Lower the toss and take it at chest height with both feet planted.

How to film it

Prop the phone wide front-on, full toss height in frame; move the phone back until the apex fits. How to film a drill.
