Walk onto it

This drill is taking the ball moving forward, never waiting flat-footed. The wall version is the solo tape.

What good looks like

  • Receiver steps onto the ball
  • Arms reach toward the passer with an early target

The drill

  1. Have a partner or feeder stand 5 meters away. A wall works if nobody is around.
  2. Put your hands up early and give the feeder a target.
  3. As the ball comes, step forward onto it. Never rock back on your heels.
  4. Take the catch in front of your chest, then return the feed and reset.

Space

8m flat corridor, one ball, a feeder (wall as fallback).

Make it harder / make it easier

Harder. Feeder varies the height every throw, or you start further back with more ground to make up.

Easier. Feeder lobs slow and chest-high from 3 meters.

How to film it

Yes with the feeder in frame; solo wall version is a clean solo tape. Prop the phone side-on to the corridor. How to film a drill.
