Alternating hands

This drill builds equal-strength passing off both hands under light fatigue.

What good looks like

  • Two hands to release on both sides
  • Consistent ball height
  • Fingers finish at the mark either side

The drill

  1. Stand 4 meters from the wall. Pass left-to-right, catch, then immediately right-to-left.
  2. Alternate every rep. No pausing between sides; the catch is the setup for the next pass.
  3. Keep every pass between waist and chest height on the wall.
  4. If one side sprays, slow the whole ladder down until both sides match.

Space

A flat wall, one ball, 5m of run-off.

Make it harder / make it easier

Harder. Add a step across between reps so each pass comes off a moving base.

Easier. Pause and reset grip fully between sides.
